Richard Zedník

Richard Zedník (born January 6 1976) is a retired Slovak professional hockey winger. He has played in the National Hockey League for the Washington Capitals Montreal Canadiens New York Islanders and Florida Panthers. He is known for sustaining and surviving a life-threatening injury during a February 2008 game in which a falling teammate's skate sliced his external carotid artery.
